About OneNumber
™
What does every weight-management effort involve? Numbers. How many Calories to consume each day, how much protein is ideal, how to get more all-important fiber into your diet, how to safely restrict sodium, fat, and cholesterol, how to regulate Calories but eat foods with the highest nutritional quality, and how on earth to understand food labels!
What if all that were reduced to just one number?
Meet OneNumber,™ the engine that powers our apps and the force behind your lifelong weight-management success. OneNumber is a unique, patent-pending food-rating system that looks at food attributes, registers your personal needs and goals, and integrates the two. It rates each food on a 0-to-20 scale for its suitability for your personal weight objective (lose, gain or maintain) and your individual health situation. Using this technology, our introductory OneNumber Health app guides the user with high cholesterol away from shrimp, steers the user with hypertension from smoked salmon, and rates both foods excellent for the dieter with no health restrictions. Think of it as an intelligent, interactive food label! Just open the app,

One of today’s greatest health challenges, individually and as a society, is obesity. It is a principal, causative factor in serious chronic diseases like diabetes mellitus, coronary and peripheral vascular disease, cancer, stroke, hypertension, gallbladder disease, osteoarthritis, gout, sleep apnea, asthma and more.
Interpreting today’s medical research is an ongoing challenge. Is dietary fat good or bad? Is the Mediterranean diet better for a cardiac patient than the American Heart Association diet? Is fasting beneficial or does it trigger an exponential Calorie intake? Can the ketogenic diet be detrimental?
For over 30 years, I have seen fad diets and medical research come and go while the obesity epidemic worsens. As researchers make recommendations that a week later are directly contradicted, our society keeps getting heavier. Sometimes it takes a new approach to make sense of it all. That is what OneNumber™ has done.

Simply put, using solid data from the USDA, the National Institutes of Health, and other nutrition databases, the OneNumber Health app shows you, in one number, whether a food is ideal for your individual health scenario. It takes the complexity of the nutrition label of a food to just one number. You just have to seek foods with higher numbers and limit your consumption of lower-numbered foods. OneNumber Pro goes beyond and shows you, in real time, how much body fat you are accumulating with each bite. No other app we’ve seen can do these things. Also, both apps are rife with information buttons to deepen your knowledge about nutrition. This level of motivation and education can change your eating habits for life.
It is our opinion that the OneNumber Health System will easily guide you on the path to sustainable weight loss and better health.
